This Casio watch from the Edifice collection, specifically the Black Label range, looks quite fantastic with its all black aesthetic and its streamlined case shape. I really like the large push buttons at the 2, 4, 8, and 10 positions. Normally, pushers on most Casio watches are small and blend in with the case more, but these stand out and allow for easier usage while on the move.
Officially, the case is made from black ion plated stainless steel. Case dimensions stand at an oversized 51mm, and the watch rides relatively low compared to the diameter at 14mm tall. The bracelet adds to the streamlined theme, as it is integrated into the case. The bracelet is secured using a single folding clasp. The stationary bezel carries a scale specific to the central chronograph seconds hand. This model is water resistant to 100 meters, making this great for daily wear and some sporting events, but cannot be used for serious diving.
Protecting the dial is a hardened mineral crystal, which offers good scratch resistance. The dial features two levels, and is decorated with a vertically striated guilloche design. Each of the hour markers is luminous, while the partially skeletonized hands are also luminous but in a different color. This timepiece from Casio can time events with an accuracy up to 1/1000th of a second. This is achieved via a high-speed LSI processor, which employs 5 independent motors to run all of the timekeeping functions. At the 3 position is the date aperture. Coming in at 9 is a counter that displays all of the functions. Along the flange are the names of cities used in the GMT function, which can display up to 29 time zones. This watch also carries an EOL indicator, and multi-band atomic timekeeping.
Powering this Casio watch is a Japanese made quartz movement, which gains its energy from the light.
